First I need to say that I am in no way and expert on the Pinto motor or the wiring of it. It took me quite a while to find the wire coding, which not even our local Ford dealer could supply.

 

Secondly, I have to say that you are using this information at your own risk. So please don't e-mail me to say you have blown your Ignition Switch. I am not interested.

 

See the photo on the right for details on what worked for me. Wire number 3 is not connected because we are using the Pinto motor and ignition switch for Oval Track racing.
